Free Cholesterol, Glucose, Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index Screenings
Free blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, and body mass index (BMI) screenings are offered. The goal of this health service is to help community residents know, understand, and improve their four biometric numbers, which are fundamental indicators of personal health. These numbers are blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, and BMI. Screenings are performed by registered nurses and include a discussion of your results. Walk-ins are welcome.

Fitness and Weight Management
Zumba Fitness Program
Zumba class is taught by a certified Zumba Instructor.
Comfortable clothing should be worn.
Classes will be held at the Nazareth Family Center Gymnasium.
Mondays & Wednesdays, Nov 5th - Dec 12th, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m
$5 per session or 12 session pkg. for $50. Participants must bring payment to the Community Education office in the Nazareth Family Center, Room 140.

This program includes low-impact aerobics, mild stretching, and bending exercises led by a certified aerobics instructor. Participants can modify the routines depending on their skill level. This is a free program.

This four-hour class is designed to prepare expectant families for the childbirth experience, including cesarean delivery and complications that can occur during and after pregnancy. Information on blood clots--called deep vein thrombosis (DVT)--will be shared with participants. The class is taught by an experienced childbirth instructor and also features a tour of The Family Birthplace.
Registration and $50 payment are required prior to the first day of class. Families and friends are welcome and refreshments are provided. The fee for the class is free for those who will deliver at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center and $50 for those delivering elsewhere. Free parking is available in the visitor parking lot across the street from the hospital. We encourage group participation in this informal, fun class.
