Shapedown - Weight Control for Kids!

Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center is the first hospital in Resurrection Health Care to be a Licensed Provider for a Pediatric Obesity Program. Shapedown is a pediatric weight management program that has been shown in scientific studies to produce significant short-term and long-term effects! More importantly, Shapedown grows a support system with an enhanced parent-child relationship for improved health and happiness of the entire family.

The emphasis of the program is to produce visible changes and sustain a life that is free from dieting and weight concerns. The staff of professionals includes Physicians, Behavioral Scientists, Registered Dietitians, Registered Nurses, and an Exercise Physiologist. The Nutrition Services staff is concerned about the growing weight of children, and will work with the participants to make SHAPEDOWN an important and successful experience for them.

This 10-week program is for ages 9-11 along with a parent. Participants will meet every Wednesday evening at 5:00 pm.
